How to View and Like Instagram Stories

Instagram has recently included the 'like' feature, providing users with more engaging ways to interact and making story viewing much easier. Instead of going through their inboxes to get information regarding which viewers liked a specific post, creators can now simply check the story's viewer sheet for an accurate breakdown of data in real-time. Here's what you should understand about how likes on stories function and how to effectively take advantage of them.

How To Like An Instagram Story

Unlocking the "like" feature on Instagram is simple. Just follow these easy steps to show your admiration for Someone's story:

  • Download and open the newest edition of Instagram on your device.
  • Now view Someone's story.
  • At the top of your feed, you can catch up with stories from people that you follow in a convenient bar.
  • Their profile photo will feature a colourful ring when they've got something new to show.
  • To access Someone's story, simply tap on their profile picture.
  • Look for a heart between the "Send Message" box and the plane icon when viewing an Instagram Story.
  • Show your appreciation for the story you're reading by tapping on the heart icon.

How To See Who Liked Your Instagram Story

If Someone takes a liking to your Instagram Story, it will be featured on the viewer list, which you can access by revisiting your own story.

  • Download and launch the most recent version of Instagram.
  • To access your story, tap the icon in the upper left corner.
  • Just around the corner, you'll find another user's profile icon.
  • This means that Someone has taken a peek at your story.
  • Click on the icon to show who has viewed your story.
  • If you cannot find the icon in the lower left corner, it means that your story has yet to be seen.
  • For further confirmation, simply swipe up from the bottom of your screen. You'll then be able to observe a list of those who have watched in real time.
  • When Someone likes your story, you'll be able to identify them by the heart symbol appearing beside their name.

Are your Story 'likes' viewable to the public, or can they only be seen privately?

When you "like" a story, the person who receives it will be the only one to view it on their viewer sheet. This action is confidential and not visible to anyone else.

When others view your stories, they won't be able to see the number of likes you've received. However, only you can check out who liked your posts in a viewer sheet.
